Iran rejects talks under threat

Iranian Parliament Speaker Baqir Qalibaf has said that Iran will not accept talks under threat.

In his post on X, he accused US President Trump of wanting to turn the negotiating table into a surrender table through ceasefire violations and blockades.

Qalibaf added that Iran has been preparing to turn the tables on the battlefield in the last two weeks.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a telephone conversation with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar that Iran will review all aspects regarding the United States and decide on its future course of action.

He said that provocative actions, repeated ceasefire violations, threats against Iranian commercial ships and contradictory statements are obstacles to the diplomatic process.

According to the Pakistani Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of continuous communication and dialogue to resolve all pending issues, so as to promote peace and stability in the region.

The two foreign ministers agreed to maintain close contact.
