Reports of two more women abducted by Pakistani security forces from Balochistan have emerged.
According to local media, Pakistani forces raided a house in the Tajaban area of Kech last night and dragged away Zubaida Baloch, wife of Haji Badal, and her daughter-in-law, Zarnaz, wife of Daulat, from the house and took them with them, after which there has been no news of them.
It is being said that the two women who were subjected to forced disappearance are the mother and widow of Daulat, son of Haji Badal, who was killed on February 18.
According to local sources, Haji Badal was shot dead by armed groups working under the patronage of Pakistani forces, locally known as death squads. His mother and widow were abducted by Pakistani forces last night.
So far, more than 16 women have been subjected to enforced disappearance in Balochistan in the past year, some of whom have later surfaced and been rescued, but most are still in the custody of state forces, including Mah Jabeen Baloch, Nasreen Baloch, Hair Nisaa and others, who were subjected to enforced disappearance last year.
