A recent statement by the commander of the Revolutionary Guards said that “the enemy has misjudged our strength during the 40-day war.”
According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, Yadollah Javani, the head of political affairs for the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, said that “Iran’s enemies made a serious mistake in assessing the country’s capabilities and determination, as a result of which Iran has come into a stronger position than before, while the United States faces failure and weakness.”
Speaking to the Iranian news agency IRNA on Saturday night, Yadollah Javani said that “the enemies thought that they would achieve quick success by imposing war on Iran, but their assessment proved to be wrong.”
According to IRNA, Yadollah Javani said that “the aggression against Iran by the United States and Israel began with air strikes, in which senior Iranian officials and military commanders were targeted.”
Javani According to him, ‘In response, the Iranian armed forces launched missile and drone attacks on Israeli-occupied territories and US military bases and installations in the region on a daily basis.’
He claimed that ‘the enemies’ primary objectives were to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities, eliminate its missile defense system, and ultimately topple the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.’
The Revolutionary Guards official said that ‘all these goals have failed, as a result of which the balance of power in the region has shifted in Iran’s favor.’
Referring to the regional situation, he said that ‘Iran now has effective dominance over the Strait of Hormuz and has achieved a position that he said is ‘the legitimate right of the Iranian people.’
