The bodies of 6 people from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who were kidnapped in Kech district, bordering Iran, have been recovered. According to local police, all the people were shot dead.

According to police, the bodies of 6 people were found in the Nasirabad area near Turbat, the headquarters of Kech district. Upon receiving information, the bodies were shifted to the Teaching Hospital Turbat for post-mortem.

Balochistan Home Department Assistant for Media Babar Yousafzai has claimed that these are the laborers who were kidnapped from Kalatak area near Turbat two days ago.

According to him, a total of seven laborers were kidnapped, one of whom was killed immediately after the kidnapping, while the bodies of the remaining 6 people were recovered today.

Babar Yousafzai said that four of the deceased belonged to Punjab and two to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He condemned the incident and said that the involved elements would be brought to justice.

He alleged that this act was carried out by such mischievous elements who are trying to harm the peace and stability of Balochistan under foreign patronage.

He said that the government and law enforcement agencies will use all available resources to arrest the accused involved in the incident and bring them to justice.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the killing of 6 people by armed men in Kech district of Balochistan and termed it a heinous and brutal act.

In his statement, Mohsin Naqvi expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased laborers and said that the terrorists have not only taken precious human lives by targeting innocent laborers but have also attacked the development of Balochistan and local employment.

The Home Minister said that extremists belonging to ‘Fitna-ul-Hindustan’ are now targeting innocent and unarmed citizens, which is no less condemnable. He said that the elements who brutally killed six non-local workers do not deserve any concession.
