Unknown persons have attacked an FWO vehicle in the Tangir area of Gilgit-Baltistan under Pakistan administration, resulting in the death of the driver while three personnel including an officer were injured.
Sources say that unknown persons opened fire on a Frontier Works Organization (FWO) vehicle in the Tangir area, resulting in the death of the driver and the injury of three personnel including an officer.
According to sources, the attack was carried out suddenly, after which the injured were immediately shifted to the Regional Hospital Chilas where an emergency has been imposed.
The hospital administration has been put on high alert and medical assistance is being provided to the injured.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation while the search for the attackers is underway.
Panic has spread in the area after the incident.
It should be remembered that FWO is a construction company of the Pakistani army, which has been subject to several attacks in Balochistan, and the company’s heavy machinery has been disabled
