Operations by Female Fighters Begin in Balochistan; Blockades and Clashes with Forces in Mangchar

Reports have emerged of a large number of armed Baloch fighters entering the town of Mangchar in Balochistan’s Kalat district, seizing control of various parts of the town, and engaging in fierce clashes with security forces. A prominent and active presence of female Baloch fighters has also been reported during this operation.

According to local sources, blockades have been established on Mangchar’s main highway and all key entry and exit points, with snap checks and patrols currently underway. During this time, advancing security force vehicles and those arriving as reinforcements were targeted in severe attacks, forcing the troops to retreat.

Meanwhile, Major Gharam Baloch, spokesperson for the armed organization ‘Balochistan Liberation Front’ (BLF), has claimed responsibility for this multi-pronged operation in a press release issued to the media.

According to the spokesperson, the operation was carried out by Sarmachars (fighters) and female combatants from the BLF’s newly formed unit, the “Karima Armed Assault Division” (KAAD).

Following the blockade in Mangchar, Pakistani army convoys and reinforcement troops advancing from both the Kalat and Mastung directions were targeted, resulting in the death and injury of numerous military personnel.

The spokesperson claimed that three vehicles belonging to the forces—including one armored vehicle—were completely destroyed during the intense clashes. The BLF spokesperson further stated that clashes between sarmachars (fighters) and security forces are still ongoing in the area, and a detailed statement regarding the casualties and material losses resulting from the engagement will soon be issued to the media.
