The government of Pakistan has announced that in continuation of the ongoing treatment of Imran Khan’s eye, further examination and treatment will be done by ophthalmologists in a special medical institution and its detailed report will also be submitted to the Supreme Court.
Information Minister Atta Tarar further wrote on social media site X that ‘speculations, baseless news and attempts to politicize it for personal gain should be avoided.’

He posted on X that the detailed report of this treatment will also be submitted to the Supreme Court. Speculations, baseless news and attempts to politicize it for personal interest should be avoided.

It should be remembered that the Supreme Court has ordered the federal government to get Imran Khan’s eye examined before February 16 in the presence of expert doctors.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi gave this order in the light of the report submitted by the court-appointed ‘Friend of Court’ Salman Safdar. According to the report of Barrister Salman Safdar submitted in the court, Imran Khan said that for the last three months he has been complaining of loss of vision, “although his vision was completely fine till October 2025.”
In the report, the lawyer had written that Imran Khan was clearly worried about his vision loss and not getting timely medical attention. “During the meeting, his eyes kept watering and he kept wiping them with tissue.”
Talking to Geo News, Aza Tarar said that ‘Imran Khan has a luxurious environment in the jail.’
He explained that no trade mail is given to any other prisoner. Therefore, the facilities they get will be called luxury.
He said that if there will be further check-up, the matters will be cleared.
Regarding the melting of ice in the government and Tehreek-e-Insaaf, he said that he was on the issue of counter-terrorism. Those are administrative matters.
Atta Tarar said that the impression that any deal or negotiations are taking place is wrong. ‘
