Peace Board member countries pledge to provide ‘thousands of personnel’ for Gaza Stabilization Force, President Trump

President Donald Trump has claimed that at the Gaza Peace Board meeting to be held in Washington on February 16, he will announce that member countries have pledged more than $5 billion for humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Gaza, while also pledging to provide thousands of personnel for the international stabilization force and local police.

President Trump made this statement on his social media platform Truth Social.

The Peace Board is part of the US President’s plan for a permanent end to the conflict in Gaza. Apart from Pakistan, Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar are also included in this ‘Board of Peace’.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the Peace Board meeting to be held in Washington on February 16. This Peace Board will oversee the formation of a new Palestinian government based on technocrats in Gaza and the reconstruction after the war.

The UN Security Council has authorized the Peacekeeping Force to establish an international stabilization force. A force that would secure the Gaza border areas and disarm Hamas, as well as demilitarize the area.

Indonesia has announced the deployment of up to 8,000 troops to Gaza for this peacekeeping force.

On Truth Social, Trump says that the Peacekeeping Force has unlimited potential and will prove to be the most effective international institution in history.

President Trump further wrote in his post that last October, the Peacekeeping Force presented a comprehensive plan for a lasting peace in Gaza, which was also unanimously approved by the UN Security Council. And immediately after that, the Peacekeeping Force provided humanitarian aid in record time and ensured the release of all hostages, both alive and dead.

President Trump added that “a key condition of this plan is that Hamas abide by its promise of immediate and complete demilitarization.”

President Trump stressed that the Peace Council will prove to be the most effective international institution in history and that it is an honor for him to serve as its chairman.
