An explosion on the night of October 29 in Bandi village, located in the Bagh district of Pakistan-administered Kashmir, devastated a family. Four members of the same family were killed in the incident, while a young girl sustained injuries.
Following the tragedy, the affected family remains in a state of shock. According to a relative, when he arrived at the scene the next morning, he inquired about the police response and initial actions taken.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the relative stated that he reached the site around 6:00 or 7:00 AM. He asked the family members whether they had notified the police.
He recounted that the family informed him they had alerted the police during the night; however, the police responded that they could not reach the location at that time due to security concerns.
According to the relative, the police arrived at the scene later—around 8:00 AM—to conduct an investigation. He noted that the police took into custody an object found at the site, which is also visible in a video of the incident.
He added that the family possesses certain videos related to the event and is prepared to provide them.
The relative further mentioned that the police revisited the scene to conduct additional investigations; however, he stated that, as of now, the family has not been provided with any new information regarding the progress of the investigation. He stated that, if necessary, a visit to the scene could be arranged to examine the incident and the associated evidence.
The family is in a state of profound shock following the explosion, which claimed the lives of four family members and left a young girl injured. However, definitive details regarding the causes of the incident and the nature of the explosion have yet to emerge.
