Three children have escaped from a juvenile home in Ranbir Singh Pura district near the Line of Control (LoC) in Indian-administered Kashmir.
According to police, on Sunday evening, the children attacked two security personnel, Vinay Kumar and Praveen Kumar, posted at a barracks of the jail, injuring them and escaped from the jail.
The injured personnel have been shifted to hospital.
Police said that one of the escaped children belongs to Nankana Sahib area of ​​​​Pakistan’s Punjab province and the other is from Dhirpur tehsil of Muzaffarabad, while the third teenager is a local resident of Ranbir Singh Pura.
Police said that the two Pakistani children among the escapees have no connection with armed militancy and were mistakenly arrested while crossing the border. In a statement, Jammu and Kashmir Police said that a special team has been formed to investigate the matter and vigilance has been increased in areas near the LoC, as there are fears that Pakistani children may try to return to Pakistan.
