14 workers kidnapped from Barkhan and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan

A total of 14 workers working with construction companies have been kidnapped by unknown armed men in the Barkhan and Khuzdar districts of Pakistan-occupied Balochistan.

The first incident took place in Dhola River near Aishani area of ​​Barkhan district, where armed men forcibly took away three workers working at a crushing plant. According to police sources, the kidnapped workers belong to Musakhel district.

There are also reports that armed men attacked a police check post in the same area and snatched weapons from three personnel, but this has not been officially confirmed.

The second incident took place in Mullah area of ​​Khuzdar district, where 11 workers working with a construction company were kidnapped.

According to Khuzdar police official Yousuf Baloch, the motives for the incident are not yet known, but an investigation has been launched. A senior police officer said that six of the abducted labourers belonged to Sindh and were engaged in the work of paving drains under a World Bank project.

According to police sources, after the abduction, the armed men also went to Mullah Town and tried to take away weapons from the police station there, but were unsuccessful. After staying in the area for some time, they returned.
