Narendra Modi’s call with Iranian President, emphasis on dialogue and diplomacy

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he spoke to the Iranian President in view of the regional tensions, in which he stressed dialogue and diplomacy.

In a post on social networking site SiteX, the Indian Prime Minister said that ‘discussed the serious situation in the region with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Peshkeshian. Expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions, loss of civilian lives and damage to civilian infrastructure.’

He added that ‘ensuring the safety and security of Indian citizens, as well as ensuring the uninterrupted flow of goods and energy, are among India’s top priorities.’
