Israel did not drag the US into war with Iran, Netanyahu says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that after a 20-day war, Iran no longer has the ability to enrich uranium or build ballistic missiles.

He began his message on Thursday in Hebrew, which was later translated into English. He said: “We will completely destroy all their capabilities.”

Netanyahu says he has “destroyed” Iran’s capabilities to the point where it “will not be able to carry out its plans.”

The Israeli prime minister says Iran’s plan was to demolish thousands of buildings in Israel. “But instead, buildings are collapsing in Lebanon and in Iran itself.”

“We will change the Middle East, I promise you,” he says.

According to him, Iran has “never been weaker in its history,” while Israel is “stronger than ever.”

Asked how long the war will last, Netanyahu says, “It will last as long as necessary.”

“We will work together and win together,” he adds.

Netanyahu has outlined three goals for Israel in the Iran war: eliminating the nuclear threat from Iran, eliminating the threat of ballistic missiles, and creating the conditions for the Iranian people to “gain freedom.”

Netanyahu says he also wants to refute another “fake news.” He was referring to the claim that Israel has dragged the United States into a conflict with Iran.

“Can anyone tell President Trump what to do?” he asks.

Trump, he says, “always makes decisions that he thinks are best for America and for future generations.”

When asked whether Israel had informed Trump in advance about the recent attack on Iranian gas fields, Netanyahu said, “Israel acted alone.”

He adds, “President Trump asked us to stop future attacks and that’s what we’re doing.”

When asked what signs of the Iranian regime “breaking down” are visible, Netanyahu says, “There are many signs.”

He says, “We are trying to create a situation that will cause it (the Iranian regime) to fall, but it may or may not last.”

“If it does, it will be at its weakest.”
