Airstrikes on Iran kill 6, Iran claims to have targeted 3 US bases and several sites in Israel

Six people have been killed and six injured in US and Israeli airstrikes in the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz.

According to Majid Farshi, Director General of Disaster Management for Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, a residential building in Nasr Town was targeted in the attacks this morning, where four people were killed and six were injured. According to him, two people were killed in another attack on a park in the Rashidi Quarter.

Several explosions were heard in Tabriz early in the morning, while the Basij-affiliated Daneshjo News Agency also released photos of a destroyed residential building.

On the other hand, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have claimed to have targeted three US military bases in the northern, central and southern regions of Israel. According to the Revolutionary Guards-affiliated Tasnim News Agency, drones were used in the attacks.

The US military bases targeted, according to Iranian claims, include Ali Salem Base (Kuwait), Al-Kharj Base (Saudi Arabia), and Al-Dhafra Military Base (United Arab Emirates).

The attacks have not yet been independently confirmed by the Israeli military, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates.

Tensions in the region have increased further after the attacks on Tabriz and Iran’s counter-claims, while various countries are closely monitoring the situation.
