Petrol & diesel prices have been increased in Pakistan

The Pakistani government has announced an increase in the price of petrol and diesel per liter in the country.

According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol per liter has been increased by Rs 6.51, after which its new price will be Rs 399.86 per liter.

In addition, the price of high-speed diesel per liter has been increased by Rs 19.39, after which its new price will be Rs 399.58 per liter.

It may be recalled that the price of Brent crude oil per barrel had gone above $126 with an increase of about seven percent yesterday. This is the highest level since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Peace talks between the US and Iran appear to be stalled, the main sea passage of the Strait of Hormuz is practically closed and due to this, energy prices have increased this week.
