Left Organizing Pakistan meeting, declaration of full solidarity with the people of Kashmir

An important meeting of the comrades of Left Organizing Pakistan was held in the city of Karachi, Pakistan, recently.

The meeting was chaired by Comrade Waseem.

According to a press release issued by Left Organizing Pakistan Secretary Qamar Abbas, the meeting was attended by the Central Committee comrades and Karachi Committee members Bahadur Khattak Sabaun Bangash Mustafa, Comrade Daniyal and Karachi Committee members. They discussed various organizational and political issues in detail and presented their respective positions.

The meeting unanimously declared complete solidarity and full cooperation with the struggle of the People’s Action Committee in Kashmir.

The participants reiterated that Left Organizing Pakistan will continue to support every people’s movement that is fighting for the democratic, economic and fundamental rights of the working people.

The meeting strongly condemned the arrest of Comrade Shaukat Mir and demanded his immediate and unconditional release. The participants termed the arrest as an attack on democratic and political freedoms and said that the people’s struggle cannot be suppressed with such tactics.

A special committee was also formed in the meeting to promote class politics in the labor unions in a more organized manner and to awaken political consciousness among the working class. This committee will carry out its responsibilities for coordination, organization and promotion of class politics in various industrial institutions and labor organizations.

At the end of the meeting, it was resolved that Left Organizing Pakistan would further advance the struggle for the rights of the working people, farmers, students and all oppressed classes in a more organized and effective manner.
