A forest fire in southeastern Spain has killed 12 people, including four Britons, and left 23 missing.

Hundreds of firefighters and other experts have been deployed around the southeastern Spanish town of Bidar, where 12 people have died, Spanish authorities say.
Local authorities in the Los Gallardos region of Almeria have warned that the death toll could rise, with fears that more Britons may be among the dead.
Spain is experiencing a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius (104 Fahrenheit). The heat has also caused wildfires in southern Europe, particularly in France, Portugal and Spain.
