US Central Command (CENTCOM) says Iran has been targeted for the 11th consecutive night.
In a statement on the social media website X, CENTCOM said the attacks targeted Iran’s military operations centers, naval capabilities, aircraft hangars, drone storage facilities and military logistics infrastructure.
According to CENTCOM, the aim of the attacks is to further weaken Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement on social media, CENTCOM alleged that over the past three months, Iran has attacked more than 30 commercial vessels passing through this international waterway.
According to CENTCOM, “These unprovoked attacks have endangered the lives of hundreds of innocent sailors and undermined freedom of navigation.”
The US Central Command also claimed that the Strait of Hormuz remained open to commercial shipping despite Iranian aggression.
