A peaceful protest was held in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, under the organization of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), in front of the Quetta Press Club for the safe recovery of the enforced disappearance of Asif Baloch and other missing persons.
The demonstration was attended by a large number of relatives of the enforced disappearances, human rights activists, lawyers, students, political and social activists and people belonging to different schools of thought.
The participants in the demonstration demanded that all the missing persons, including Asif Baloch, be recovered immediately.
They said that those against whom there are any kind of charges, should be presented in the courts according to the constitution and law. The participants demanded an end to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of missing Balochs and said that the basic human and constitutional rights of the citizens should be protected at all costs.
The sister of the forcibly disappeared Asif Baloch, while addressing the protest, said that her brother Asif Baloch was forcibly disappeared after being allegedly detained by officials of the country’s institutions from Iman City, Quetta on July 13 this year.
She said that till now neither he has been presented in any court nor has any information been provided to the family about him, due to which the entire family is suffering from severe mental anguish and torture.
She appealed to the higher authorities to ensure the safe recovery of Asif Baloch immediately.
She said that if there is any allegation against him, it should be brought to light according to the law and he should be presented in court so that the legal requirements are fulfilled and the uncertainty of the family is ended.
On the other hand, there are reports from different districts of Balochistan that the Pakistani army has forcibly disappeared 3 more people after taking them into custody, while reports of a youth mysteriously disappearing have been received.
According to reports, on the morning of July 21, 2026, the Pakistani army, during house raids on Airport Road in the Killi Almas area of ​​Quetta, arrested and disappeared Hafiz Abdul Nafi Baloch, son of Muhammad Ibrahim Baloch, and Beberg Baloch, son of Ainuddin Baloch.
According to sources, both of them were taken away by ISI and CTD officials, but no information has been revealed about them yet.
Meanwhile, Miran Baloch, son of Gul Khan, a resident of Kharan, was forcibly disappeared after being taken into custody by CTD officials from Bashir Chowk in Quetta on the evening of July 23, 2026.
According to the family, Miran Baloch has been subjected to enforced disappearance for the third time.
On the other hand, 18-year-old Hamal son of Adil Rashid, a resident of Gulshanabad, Turbat, left his home yesterday to offer Friday prayers, but has been missing since then and his family has not been able to contact him.
According to his family, Hamal had gone for Friday prayers, but has not returned yet, due to which the family is in deep concern. They are being searched for him in every possible place, but no information has been received about him so far.
The family has appealed to the public that if anyone has any information about Hamal or sees him anywhere, they should immediately inform their family.
