Today, on August 11, the Baloch nation and all freedom-loving forces around the world are celebrating ‘Baloch Pledge Renewal Day’ and their historic Independence Day with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm. On August 11, 1947, after the withdrawal of British colonial rule, the formal independence of Balochistan was declared and thus Balochistan emerged on the world map as an independent and sovereign state.
However, after this historic and legal independence on August 11, on March 27, 1948, Pakistan completed the process of annexation and occupation of Balochistan through forces. The Baloch nation has been celebrating this day for decades as a reminder of its historical status, awakening of national consciousness and renewal of its resolve for independence and is raising its voice for its rights to self-determination at the global level.
On this historic occasion, an important conference and event is being organized by the Baloch National Movement (BNM) in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, on August 11. The event, which will last from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, is being attended by BNM members, supporters, and political and social activists to discuss in detail the national history of Balochistan, the ongoing struggle for freedom, and the future political course of action.
Earlier, BNM also organized seminars and awareness campaigns in various cities of Germany on the occasion of August 11. A central seminar was organized in Frankfurt (Oder), while public information campaigns were conducted in important cities like Düsseldorf, Hanover, and Bremen regarding the historical status of Balochistan and the current political situation.
The seminar held in Germany was addressed by BNM Central Committee Member Hamal Baloch, President of Germany Chapter Asghar Ali, and Mustafa Shahwani.
The speakers discussed the historical developments after the end of British rule, the Baloch nation’s perspective on accession, and the strategic and geopolitical importance of the region, and highlighted the national responsibilities of the Baloch diaspora abroad.
A documentary titled “August 11: The Untold Story of Balochistan’s Independence, Accession and Resistance” was also presented during the German seminar, which covered the declaration of independence and the subsequent circumstances in detail. The program concluded with a Baloch tableau based on the poetry of BNM’s ideological leader, Shaheed Ghulam Muhammad Baloch, in which tribute was paid to the national struggle and sacrifices.
Balochistan’s independence-loving parties and representatives abroad say that the main purpose of celebrating August 11 as Independence and Reconciliation Day around the world is to inform the international community and the European people about the historical case of Balochistan, the nationalist movement, and the current political and humanitarian situation.
