MASTUNG: Reports indicate that the convoy of Balochistan Home Minister Ziaullah Lango came under attack in the Khadkocha area of Mastung district.
According to initial reports, Home Minister Ziaullah Lango remained completely unhurt in the assault, while three Anti-Terrorist Force (ATF) personnel accompanying his convoy sustained injuries.
It is reported that the minister was traveling from Quetta to Kalat via the Quetta–Karachi National Highway when his convoy was targeted near Khadkocha. While the Home Minister escaped unharmed, three ATF personnel assigned to his security detail were severely injured.
Following the incident, all injured security personnel were immediately evacuated to the nearest hospital for medical treatment.
Security forces have completely cordoned off the area and launched a search operation, while a detailed official statement from administration and security officials remains pending.
Further details regarding the exact nature of the attack and the full extent of casualties or financial damages have not yet been confirmed.
As of now, no armed organization has claimed responsibility for the attack.
