The series of attacks and bomb blasts on Pakistani army and security forces has intensified in different districts of Balochistan. The army and police have suffered casualties and property losses in separate incidents in Quetta, Kalat and Noshki.
Baloch Khan, the spokesperson of Baloch Raji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS), has accepted responsibility for the major attack on forces in Noshki in a statement issued to the media.
On Monday, August 17, a Pakistani army convoy was ambushed and targeted near Levies police station in the ‘Kachki’ area of ​​Noshki.
As a result of the attack, 3 army vehicles were destroyed, while 7 personnel were killed on the spot and more than 8 were seriously injured.
The spokesperson further said that during the operation, the Sarmachars also shot down a quadcopter of the forces.
The forces’ foot soldiers were targeted by an IED blast at ‘Makai’ near Mangchar area of ​​Kalat district while they were advancing towards their post.
According to sources, 6 personnel were injured in the blast.
One of the deceased personnel has been identified as Imdadullah, who belonged to Wanda Chakri (Lucky Marwat).
Explosions were heard near Balochistan University on Sariab Road in the provincial capital Quetta, causing panic and fear in the area.
According to initial reports, unidentified persons riding a motorcycle hurled a grenade at the Kachi Baig Police Station on Sariab Road.
As a result of the bomb attack, a policeman was injured and has been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.
Following the incident, the forces have cordoned off Sariab Road and its surroundings and launched a large-scale search operation.
