The increasing control and coordinated attacks by militants in Chagai and Kech districts of Balochistan have made the security situation extremely worrying. At Chatar near Dalbandin, armed men seized a vehicle belonging to a large trade convoy along with its cargo and diverted it to an unknown destination.
The continuous attacks and the incidents of drivers and vehicles being seized yesterday have spread fear among traders and traffic on the main international route has been severely affected.
In the Buleda area of ​​Kech district, a convoy returning from the Security Forces (FC) headquarters after unloading rations was targeted by armed motorcyclists.
A Zamyad vehicle and two Mazda trucks were returning after delivering rations to the FC headquarters when armed men opened indiscriminate fire on them.
As a result of the fire, the truck driver Nasir son of Musa (resident of Khuzdar) was killed on the spot, while the Zamyad driver was injured. The attackers set the Zamyad vehicle on fire.
The armed men released the cleaner from the warehouse, but took the truck owner’s son into custody and took him with them.
