At least four people, including a tribal leader, have been killed while two people are missing in two separate incidents in the two districts of Chagai and Duki in Balochistan.
According to government officials, the three people killed in Duki were Afghan nationals who worked as watchmen on the agricultural land of a tribal leader.
Duki Police Chief Mansoor Ahmad Buzdar confirmed the killing of the three people and the disappearance of the two, saying that they were attacked by unknown armed men in a mountainous area beyond the Jhalar area.
He said that the men were working as watchmen on the land of local tribal leader Sardar Akbar Khan Nasir in Jhalar.
He said that all the killed and missing people have been identified.
However, he did not provide further details and said that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
Another government official said the dead were identified as Afghan nationals.
He said efforts were underway to recover the missing.
Duki is among the areas where incidents of unrest have been taking place for a long time.
Last Sunday, three brothers were killed and another person was injured in a bomb attack near Bakhtiar Loni village.
Meanwhile, tribal leader Malik Karim Dad Mohammad Hasni was killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in Chagai district.
A police official in Chagai said on condition of anonymity that Malik Karim Dad Mohammad Hasni was attacked by unknown gunmen in Chagai Bazaar in the morning.
According to the police official, the motive for the incident is yet to be known.
Chagai is a border district of Balochistan and shares borders with both Afghanistan and Iran.
