Pashtun Leader Ali Wazir Honorably Acquitted in Case Linked to Dadu Jail

Pashtun nationalist leader Ali Wazir was brought from Dadu Jail under heavy police escort to the court of Additional Sessions Judge Syed Ehsan Ali Shah. Following arguments presented by his counsel, Imdad Haider Solangi, the court honorably acquitted him in the case registered under FIR No. 40/2026.

According to details, the Hyderabad Circuit Bench of the Sindh High Court had ordered Ali Wazir’s release on March 16, 2026; however, he was taken back into custody on the same day. Subsequently, he was named in cases registered at various police stations in Dadu.

Today, a hearing for FIR No. 40/2026 took place in the court of the Additional Sessions Judge in Dadu, during which Ali Wazir’s lawyer, Imdad Haider Solangi, presented his arguments. After hearing these arguments, the court ordered the honorable acquittal of Ali Wazir in the case.

Supporters of Ali Wazir have hailed his acquittal as a victory for justice, asserting that instead of suppressing political leaders through legal cases, differences should be addressed through lawful and democratic means.
