Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: More than 20 personnel killed in attacks on forces in first week of Ramadan

In the first week of Ramadan, there has been an increase in armed incidents in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, due to which more than 20 personnel were killed in attacks on police, FC and security forces.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially in the southern districts, 13 police personnel were killed and 10 injured in continuous incidents of militancy during Ramadan.

In an armed incident in Kohat, 7 police personnel were killed and 4 were injured, while a suicide bomber blew himself up at the Dajal police check post in the limits of Bhakkar adjacent to DI Khan, resulting in the death of 4 police personnel and 4 injuries.

In a suicide attack on a security forces convoy in Bannu, 4 military personnel including a lieutenant colonel were killed, while 8 personnel were also injured in an attack on the FC line.

In the first week of Ramadan, armed men attacked an ambulance in Bahadur Khel area of ​​Karak, killing 3 FC personnel. Five personnel were injured in an attack on an FC fort in Karak.

A policeman was killed and two were injured in Dera Ismail Khan, and a policeman was also killed in Wana, South Waziristan.

According to the police, operations have been intensified in view of the increasing incidents of militancy during Ramadan, while a female suicide bomber has been arrested in DI Khan.
