In view of the oil shortage resulting from the Iran-US-Israel war and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the federal government of Pakistan and two provinces have introduced new measures to reduce costs, including closing educational institutions.
On Monday, in view of the war situation in Iran and the rising global prices of oil and gas in its context, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that government and private institutions will work four days a week, while 50 percent of the staff will work online from home.
Shahbaz Sharif said that the whole of Pakistan strongly condemns the ‘heinous Israeli attacks on Iran, the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his family and Iranian citizens, while Pakistan also condemns the attacks on the Islamic countries of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Turkey, etc.’
The Prime Minister said that the price of crude oil in the global market, which was $60 per barrel a few days ago, has now increased to above $100.
