According to Pakistani security sources, two drones have been shot down in the city of Rawalpindi, adjacent to the capital Islamabad.
Sources say that there was no loss of life or property in the incident.
According to security sources, both drones were of a common nature and were shot down using electronic devices. However, the sources did not clarify where these drones came from and what their possible target was.
On the other hand, the Afghan Taliban’s Ministry of Defense has claimed that Afghan forces targeted the important military installation Hamza Camp near Faizabad on Friday evening.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Defense on social media platform X, it was said that the command center and other important installations there were targeted by drones, causing considerable damage.
Meanwhile, according to Islamabad Police, the area was cordoned off after a drone was reported to have crashed in Sector I-9 of the city on Friday evening. Police officials say further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
