Flames broke out in parts of Kuwait\u2019s main Mina al-Ahmadi oil refinery early Friday morning after multiple Iranian drone strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, no casualties were reported by the administration in the attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mina al-Ahmadi refinery, one of the largest in the Middle East, has the capacity to refine about 346,000 barrels of oil per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kuwait has three major oil refineries. The Mina al-Ahmadi refinery has been targeted twice before by Iranian drones during the five-week conflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said emergency and firefighting teams were working to contain the fire in some of the refinery\u2019s 39 operational units and prevent it from spreading.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement added that air quality in the affected area is being monitored and so far there has been no impact on the local environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, the UAE Ministry of Defense says that the country is facing a new wave of missile and drone attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry wrote in a message on X that \u2018the country\u2019s air defense systems are busy intercepting and destroying missiles and drones.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
