Contrary to claims of development, Sanyara Muhajir Colony located in the union council of Badrali in Kotli district of Pakistan-administered Kashmir is still deprived of basic facilities. Despite being very close to the main Pindi-Mirpur Road, this settlement is deprived of basic facilities like roads, due to which the daily life of the residents is facing severe difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to locals, due to the lack of paved roads in the area, transportation has become a major problem. In case of emergency, it is extremely difficult to transfer patients to the hospital, where seriously ill people are transported to the main road on cots or ropes. Similarly, in case of deaths, the transfer of funerals also becomes a difficult step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Residents say that this situation is not a temporary problem but has persisted for many years, however, no effective practical steps have been taken by the relevant authorities so far. They allege that many kilometers of roads have been built for influential tribes in other areas of Badrali, but Sanyara Colony continues to be neglected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the locals, this settlement is located just 30 minutes from Kotli city, yet the lack of basic facilities here is a question mark on the government\u2019s performance. This area is included in the constituency of Chaudhry Yasin, who currently holds an important position in the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, at the time of construction of the locally established power plant, promises were made to the residents of the area to provide basic facilities, however, the residents say that those agreements have not materialized till date. According to them, the power plant has been built, but the local population is still deprived of roads, drainage and other basic necessities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The locals have demanded from the government and the relevant institutions to immediately ensure the construction of roads in Sanyara Colony and other basic facilities so that the problems faced by the local population can be resolved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
