According to sources, the letter has expressed concern that police personnel deployed at the local level may face difficulties in maintaining impartiality while performing duties in their native areas during the strike. The letter has pointed out that nepotism, local pressure and patronage culture may influence the decisions of some personnel, which is likely to affect the law enforcement process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context, the SSP has suggested that temporary deployment of officers and personnel outside the district be implemented to make security impartial and effective. The letter recommends that DSPs and inspectors be posted outside their regions while sub-inspectors, ASIs and constables be posted in other districts to reduce any potential influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to security experts, such measures have been taken in the past on sensitive occasions to reduce local pressure and ensure the impartiality of law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the final decision for formal approval and implementation in this regard will be taken by the DIG, after which a formal notification of the postings is likely to be issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
