A unique incident has emerged in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, raising security concerns, where a woman wearing a fake traffic police uniform was arrested for sitting on duty on the VIP route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident took place on the express highway near Dhok Kala Khan Bridge on a very busy and sensitive highway in the city at a time when Islamabad has been completely sealed for peace talks between Iran and the United States and security is on high alert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to eyewitnesses, the woman was dressed in full police uniform and was posing as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the traffic police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police sources, the woman\u2019s movements and some unusual marks on the uniform made the officials on duty suspicious, after which she was immediately checked. In the initial investigation, the woman was identified as Iqra Bibi, who is said to be a resident of Abbottabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sources say that further investigation revealed that the woman was not affiliated with any government agency but was present at a sensitive location pretending to be a police officer. Taking immediate action after the incident, the woman was taken into custody and handed over to Khanna police station, where her investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police officials, the scope of the investigation has been expanded to find out whether the woman was doing this alone or if an organized group was behind it. Along with this, the aspect of how she reached a sensitive location like the VIP route and how long she had been there is also being considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing concern over the incident, security experts have said that such incidents not only mislead the public but also raise questions about the security of important places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They demanded that the surveillance system be made more effective and strict measures be taken against the misuse of official uniform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
