The Baloch Yakjehty Committee (BYC) has strongly condemned the arrest of members of the Gilgit-Baltistan Awami Action Committee, saying that the detention of several people, including 70-year-old leader Ehsan Ali, is illegal and reflects serious human rights violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A statement issued by the BYC said that the 13 members of the Awami Action Committee are human rights activists, and the organization has termed their arrest as a violation of basic human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the statement, there is deep concern over the \u201cimplementation of inhumane laws\u201d by Pakistan and its military establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Baloch Solidarity Committee has demanded that all arrested members be released immediately without any delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The statement said that these arrests have raised questions about the human rights situation not only in Gilgit-Baltistan but also in Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BYC has appealed to international human rights organizations to play their role in holding Pakistan\u2019s military establishment accountable for human rights violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the organization, the human rights situation in Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan is alarming and requires urgent attention at the global level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
