A statement issued by the head of Iran\u2019s Central Military Command said that \u2018any foreign armed force that tries to approach or enter the Strait of Hormuz will be targeted, especially the US military.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major General Ali Abdullahi of the Iranian military said that \u2018Iran has made it clear many times that the Strait of Hormuz is under the control of the Iranian armed forces and the safe passage through it must be in coordination with Iran in any case.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The statement was broadcast by the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
