The process of electing a new leadership in the Central Congress of the Jammu Kashmir People\u2019s National Party (JKPNP) has once again become the center of attention due to its uniqueness and strict organizational principles. According to the party rules and regulations, no leader or worker can nominate himself for any post, nor does anyone have the authority to run an election campaign in his favor or against anyone else. The entire authority to elect the leadership lies with the Central Committee, which is elected by the Central Congress of the party itself. This entire process is very complicated and lengthy, while the decision of the Central Committee has final status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to political observers, the process of electing the leadership within the nationalist, progressive or Pakistan-backed parties in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir usually takes the form of a traditional democratic competition, which often falls prey to factionalism and mutual interests. In contrast, the JKPNP appears to be following a different model in its organizational structure, where there is no scope for open campaigning or personal publicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to sources, the same tradition was maintained in the recent organizational session of the JKPNP central congress and the process of selecting the leadership was completed. According to inside information received by Kashgal News, the announcement of the names of the newly elected cabinet proved to be unexpected for many quarters, which surprised political observers and workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
