A financial scandal of more than Rs 30 million in the Women\u2019s University of Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir has been caught in the audit report, but on the other hand, an attempt is being made to protect these irregularities in the Senate meeting of Jamia Bagh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important meeting of the Senate of Jamia Bagh Jammu and Kashmir is going to be held on Monday, May 11, but the information that has come to light before the meeting has raised many new questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to informed sources, former Vice Chancellor Abdul Hamid Pirzada is active in this meeting to obtain some such approvals that may help reduce the impact of financial irregularities, audit objections and questions raised on administrative decisions that came to light during his tenure or provide institutional protection to these matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the available audit records, a work order of Rs 76.355 crore was issued to M\/s Raja Mansha & Co Private Limited on June 5, 2023, however, later, allegedly deviating from the rules and regulations and the approved PC-1, an additional payment of Rs 32.923 crore was made to the contractor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The audit authorities, calling this payment a clear violation of the rules, recommended not only the refund of the money but also legal and departmental action against those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources, the matter is not limited to financial irregularities, but allegations of attempts to protect past controversial decisions through certain administrative decisions, extension of the tenure of certain officials and internal grouping are also being circulated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Informed circles claim that despite the pressure of ongoing inquiries against him, Abdul Hameed Pirzada has not only tried to influence the direction of these investigations through influence but now also seems to be active in using important forums of Jamia Bagh in his favor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, his extreme interest in the post of Vice Chancellor at Poonch Rawalakot University has also sparked a new debate, especially at a time when development and construction projects worth more than Rs 3.5 billion are under construction there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
