The media group claimed on its official X account that the federal government of Pakistan is working on a legal package to redraw the existing provincial boundaries in the country and establish new administrative units, which is being seen in the context of the expected 28th constitutional amendment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, proposals are being considered in the proposed plan to divide different parts of the country into a new administrative and federal structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the claim, there is talk of including Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Karachi and Gwadar in the federal territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, the names of West Punjab, South Punjab, Bahawalpur and Potohar have emerged while dividing Punjab into different parts. The proposed units of Urban Sindh, Rural Sindh and Mehran were mentioned for Sindh, while the names of Balochistan and Makran were included in Balochistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report also referred to the proposed administrative structures of KPK, South KPK, Hazara and Kohistan for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
