According to the authority\u2019s official account on the social media platform X, Iran has officially determined the administrative and surveillance area of \u200b\u200bthe Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the announcement, the area\u2019s boundary starts from the border connecting Iran\u2019s Jabal Mubarak and the southern Fujairah of the United Arab Emirates on the eastern side, while on the western side it extends from the end of Iran\u2019s Qeshm Island to Umm Al Quwain in the Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the organization, ships passing through this area will be required to contact the \u2018Persian Gulf Waterway Management\u2019 in advance and obtain permission from this organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
