After ten hours of talks between Pakistan and its Kashmiri-administered authorities and the jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JKJAAC) stalled, the JAAC has announced that it is standing by its June 9 protest call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shaukat Nawaz Mir, a core member of the Joint Public Action Committee, while reading out the statement in front of the media, said:
\u201cThe Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, the Government of Pakistan and the Azad Kashmir Government continued negotiations throughout the day. During this, detailed discussions were held on various issues including the abolition of refugee camps and government reneging on the Muzaffarabad Agreement. Suggestions were also exchanged on various issues during this entire process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After this, the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Azad Kashmir demanded the postponement of the June 9 call, on which the Joint Awami Action Committee decided to maintain the June 9 call and appealed to the public to further intensify their preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee welcomes every serious effort by the rulers to resolve the issues and expresses its resolve that every positive and serious development will be welcomed in the future as well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, Rana Sanaullah while talking to the media said:
\u201cThe negotiations did not fail at all. We had negotiations with the Action Committee in a very pleasant atmosphere. We also presented our proposals and they also presented their proposals to us.
The process of discussions on these proposals will continue next week as well. In this regard, the Azad Kashmir government and the opposition party Muslim League (N) have decided that an All Parties Conference (APC) will be convened on this situation and these demands so that all stakeholders can be taken into confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
