A large number of people took to the streets at several places including Samahni, Bhimber, Dadial, Mirpur, Baloch, Hajira Haveli, Neelum and Tangigula and left for the capital in the form of convoys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to local sources, the number of participants this time was significantly higher than in previous protest marches, while a large number of men, women and youth are participating in public gatherings and rallies in different cities and towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are reports that there were incidents of tension and clashes between police, Rangers and other security personnel and protesters at some places, however, the participants are continuing their journey despite various obstacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants in the long march say that the Joint Public Action Committee is fighting for the basic rights of the people, economic issues and public demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the protesters, the decision to declare the Action Committee null and void is actually an attempt to suppress the public voice, which the people reject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
