A sensational and detailed investigative report published by senior Pakistani journalist Qandeel Azeem on the independent and investigative broadcasting organization \u2018Haqaiq.com\u2019 has revealed how the ruling circles of Pakistan and the influential classes of the state are appointing individuals with extremist, sectarian and extremist mindsets to the highest and most sensitive positions like judges of the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Qandeel Azeem\u2019s investigative report, this is the weakest and most dangerous period in the history of the judiciary of Pakistan that controversial lawyers who have engaged in extreme terrorist thinking, Mumtaz Qadri and blackmailing in the name of blasphemy (insulting religion) have been appointed as judges of the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report points out that over the past decade, as a result of the alleged facilitation of state authorities and institutions, such elements have reached the highest chambers of the judiciary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, former Lahore High Court judge Chaudhry Abdul Aziz\u2014who had to resign after being investigated for influencing judicial matters\u2014has been facilitating the network and extremist narratives established in the name of Blasphemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report presents documentary evidence that Rao Habib-ur-Rehman, former president of the Vehari district of the notorious banned militant organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, whose name has been involved in serious terrorism, murder and the Fourth Schedule, is roaming freely in the state\u2019s prestigious circles. Despite the rejection of the Punjab Home Department\u2019s request to remove his name from the Fourth Schedule in May 2025, he continues to operate independently due to his connections with powerful forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to Fact Focus and Special Branch reports, it has been revealed that Rao Habib\u2019s brother Advocate Rao Abdul Rahim, who calls himself the head of the \u201cLegal Commission on Blasphemy\u201d, is running a regular \u201cBlasphemy Business Group\/Gang\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report, this group, in collaboration with the cybercrime wing of the FIA, runs its business by trapping educated youth through honey trapping and false accusations. Despite all this, Rao Abdul Rahim has access to the meetings of parliamentary committees and meets federal ministers freely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The research report reveals the fact that the key players of the extremist and terrorist organizations that were banned over the past three decades have changed their names and established new \u2018gangs\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
