The Baloch Unity Committee (BYC) has strongly condemned the closure of roads in Turbat to provide VIP protocol to content creators brought from Islamabad, restricting the movement of citizens and violence against hospital staff and patients by the Frontier Corps (FC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the statement issued by the BYC in this regard, the security forces arbitrarily closed roads for several hours for TikTokers and content creators brought from Islamabad in Turbat and created a curfew-like situation. Thousands of citizens, including school-going children, patients, doctors, hospital staff and businessmen, have been facing severe hardships due to this illegal closure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the spokesperson, when patients and senior doctors raised questions about the road closure, FC personnel tortured them. During this, a senior doctor was threatened with being shot at with a gun, while a pregnant woman was among the patients who were tortured. The public, patients and medical staff at Turbat Teaching Hospital have protested against this incident and boycotted duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Baloch Solidarity Committee expressed concern and said that huge resources are being spent to create a so-called \u201cfake narrative\u201d in Balochistan, while for this purpose ordinary citizens are being besieged and deprived of their basic freedom of movement. Keeping civil life under coercion and restrictions in the name of security is not acceptable under any circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BYC has demanded transparent action from the relevant institutions by taking immediate notice of the violence and curfew-like restrictions by the forces personnel. In addition, international human rights organizations have been appealed to take notice of the serious human rights violations in Balochistan. The BYC has termed the protest of the people of Turbat and medical staff as peaceful resistance against oppression and reiterated the Baloch people to continue raising their voices for their rights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
