A fierce verbal and rhetorical clash has been witnessed between the Azad Kashmir Police and the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee after the alleged attack on the Kopra Police Post located in Bagh district of Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the police accused the Action Committee of attacking it, Sardar Umar Nazir Kashmiri, a core member of the Action Committee, has termed the claim as fabricated, baseless and a plan to justify the use of force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a press release issued by the spokesperson of the DIG Police Region Poonch on September 5, 2026, the Kopra Police Post located on Chitra Topi Road was attacked from three sides at 06:35 in the morning. The police have claimed that the elements involved in the attack belonged to the Action Committee, as a result of which Sepoy Rahim Gul was killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the press release, one attacker was killed in the return fire of the forces, while 2 hand grenades, 1 Kalashnikov, 3 magazines and 1 dagger were recovered from his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the police, after the incident, a search operation is being launched in the entire area and arrests are being made, and action will be taken against those who attack state institutions without discrimination according to the law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, Sardar Umar Nazir Kashmiri, a core member of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee, strongly rejected this statement of the police and strongly condemned it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The representatives of the Azad Kashmir government and the Pakistan government have not implemented their promises despite formal written agreements, however, the Action Committee has kept its struggle peaceful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee declares complete detachment from any armed attack, firing or violence. In such circumstances, the fear cannot be ignored that under some plan, mischievous or planted elements may try to cause an incident and throw its debris on the peaceful public movement and create a justification for further use of force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sardar Umar Nazir Kashmiri clarified that our movement is a peaceful, political and public rights movement. Instead of creating false, fabricated and baseless narratives, the implementation of the already recognized demands of the peaceful and unarmed people should be ensured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
