Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Taliban interim government in Afghanistan, has said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had released three Pakistani soldiers in the past few days, the purpose of which was to send a message that we want peace, however, Pakistan has responded through recent airstrikes that they do not want peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an interview given to BBC Pashto Radio on Monday, the Afghan Taliban spokesman said, \u201cNow we will take revenge, and if Pakistan takes any action after this, (they) will also see its reaction.\u201d When asked, \u201cWe have seen that many Pakistani Taliban have also fought in Afghanistan and they have links with you people?\u201d To this, Zabihullah Mujahid said, \u201cOur identity is one, our language is one, we have made it clear to them that they cannot use the land of Afghanistan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked about Pakistan\u2019s claim that Pakistani officials and experts say that the TTP and the Afghan Taliban are two sides of the same coin, the Taliban spokesperson said, \u201cThese are the words of those who are unaware of the Taliban\u2019s setup.\u201d He said that they (TTP) have a separate organization and identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the spokesperson, \u201cThe TTP came into existence in 2003 due to wrong policies during the Musharraf era. They have a history of fighting, they have had great leaders, such as Hakimullah Mehsud and Baitullah Mehsud.\u2019 Zabihullah Mujahid added that \u2018Pakistan has carried out such attacks on Afghanistan in the past and we have responded to them forcefully and this time too we will respond according to our strength and energy.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Afghan Taliban spokesperson alleged that \u2018such attacks in Afghanistan are linked to a specific section of the Pakistani army, a section from which peace and development are not being seen in Afghanistan.\u2019 He claimed that \u2018this specific section does not listen to the Pakistani government, nor to the people, nor to the scholars, nor to the parliament, nor to the politicians, nor to the political parties.\u2019 He added that \u2018we do not blame the whole of Pakistan for these attacks.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
