“I think the war is almost over, pretty much,” he told the BBC’s US media partner CBS News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the US was “way ahead of schedule” and claimed Iran had “no navy, no communications, no air force.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that Iran’s missiles were “just scattered around.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When asked if he thought the war could end soon, Donald Trump replied, “I think it’s coming to an end.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, the White House had indicated that the war, now in its tenth day, could last more than a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, US President Donald Trump also addressed Republican members of Congress in Florida, where he made several claims, describing the ongoing US action in Iran as a “little campaign” of his politics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minutes after the speech, Trump spoke to reporters at a news conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He began by saying that the United States had made \u201ctremendous progress\u201d in Iran and that the mission was \u201calmost complete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have completely destroyed every single military force in Iran,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the president, more than 5,000 targets have been hit so far, including drone manufacturing facilities, Iranian naval power and missile capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that \u2018their missile capability is now down to about 10 percent, maybe even less.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran about disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, saying that \u2018if Iran takes any action that stops oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, it will face very severe action.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He further said that \u2018the US will deal with Iran 20 times more severely than the action already underway for closing the Strait of Hormuz.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that about 20 percent of the world\u2019s oil is shipped through this strait, and due to the war, maritime transport has decreased significantly, which has led to a sharp increase in global oil prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
US President Trump said, \u201cIn addition, we will also destroy targets that can be easily targeted, by doing so it will be almost impossible for Iran to stand up again as a nation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
