The second important consultative meeting of the Malik Family in the Astore area of Gilgit-Baltistan under the administration of Pakistan strongly condemned the unjustified arrest of Advocate Taaruf Abbas, a nationalist leader and advocate of national rights, and keeping him away from the elections.
The speakers participating in the meeting said that Advocate Taaruf Abbas is a strong voice of public rights, and action against him is tantamount to hurting public sentiments.
The speakers emphasized that political differences cannot be used as a justification for acts of revenge.
The meeting demanded the state and relevant institutions to immediately release Advocate Taaruf Abbas and give him full rights to participate in political and democratic activities.
All the participants in the meeting unanimously supported this demand.
