The Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir has announced a protest sit-in in front of CMH in Rawalakot against the terrorist attack on Shahzeb Shaheed and Sardar Umar Nazir Kashmiri.

The statement issued by the committee said that until Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Faisal Rathore, IG Azad Kashmir and Chief Secretary are named in the FIR of this incident, the body of the martyr will remain in the ongoing sit-in in front of CMH.

According to the statement, a shutter-down and wheel-jam strike will begin across the state from 12 midnight tonight, while it has also been announced to close all entry routes and important highways and impose a complete lockdown in cities.

The Joint Public Action Committee has clarified that the long march on June 9 will continue as per its pre-scheduled program.

The committee has appealed to the workers and the public to maintain unity, discipline, and peaceful conduct during the struggle at all costs, as their strength lies in solidarity, awareness, and peaceful resistance.
