Shaukat Nawaz Mir’s arrest will not affect the movement, observers

Shaukat Nawaz Mir, a core member of the Joint Awami Action Committee in Pakistan-administered Jammu and Kashmir, has been arrested by forces from Dhirkot and shifted to an unknown location.

After the arrest, a wave of concern has spread in various circles, while the workers and supporters of the Public Action Committee are keeping a close eye on the situation.

It should be noted that in one of his speeches during the previous movement, Shaukat Nawaz Mir had said that if he himself or any other core member is arrested or suffers any kind of harm, it should not affect the movement.

He said that there is a second and third-tier leadership within the movement and all attention should be focused on the public demands and the objectives of the movement.

According to political observers, no statement made by any arrested leader can be considered final or actionable.

According to him, the final decisions regarding the movement will be taken by the leadership that is present among the people and will remain active at the organizational level.

It should be remembered that in order to weaken this movement, several leaders were allegedly forced to record video statements and express their disassociation from the movement, but despite this, the lockdown and protests continue across the region, which have not yet been ended by the use of force.
