The Jammu Kashmir Community Canada held a protest demonstration against the illegal and unconstitutional arrest of Shaukat Nawaz Mir.
The demonstration was attended by a large number of community members and human rights activists.
The protesters demanded the immediate release of Shaukat Nawaz Mir and expressed deep anger and outrage over the actions of the authorities.
They said that subjecting the Kashmiri people to political vendetta and harassment is a serious violation of fundamental human rights.
During the demonstration, the participants demanded the international community and relevant institutions to ensure full implementation of the United Nations Charter and international human rights principles.
The series of killings, illegal arrests, harassment and political vendetta against the Kashmiri people should be stopped immediately.
Other colonial tactics being carried out in the region should be immediately and permanently ended.
The protesters said that they will continue to raise their voices at the global level against the violation of the rights of the Kashmiri people until they get their legitimate rights.
