JKJAAC-related activities banned in Kashmir, new order issued for government employees

A government order issued by the government in Pakistan-administered Kashmir has barred serving and retired government employees from participating in any kind of activity related to the banned Joint Action Committee.

According to the order issued on June 29, 2026, no serving or retired government employee shall share, upload or promote any post related to the Joint Action Committee on their social media accounts, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and other platforms, nor encourage others to do so.

The order further states that government employees shall also not attend any gathering, gathering or meeting of the Joint Action Committee.

The government has warned that disciplinary and criminal action will be taken against any serving or retired government employee found violating these instructions.

According to the order, action may also be taken to stop the salary or pension of the concerned employee.
